Spiced Rum & Tonic
Spice up the usual rum and tonic combination with this update
Spiced rum and tonic isn’t the first combination that leaps to mind when you think of what to do with that bottle of spiced. But depending on the rum, it could actually go quite well with the bittersweet taste of tonic. A lot of spiced rums are quite sweet but this one from Adelaide Hills Distillery manages to avoid the sickly mouth coating sugariness of some commercial brands, instead it is quite warm and chocolate-y. Add a splash of ginger syrup and it is a drink you can drink by the pool. If you use any other spiced rum, you might want to adjust the ratio of how much rum to tonic you use, to account for the sweetness.
