Orange Espresso Martini

Orange Espresso Martini

Update the espresso martini cocktail with this orange twist, using a marmalade vodka.

To mark our interview with the Amateur Mixologist Matt H (read about it here) and as is now custom, we made a cocktail celebrating the best of what we associate with our interviewees. Matt being a Brit, we naturally veered towards using an English spirit as our base. And what could be more quintessentially British than marmalade? Lucky for us, one English distillery combines great spirit with marmalade and so we had to use that! As the first field to bottle distillery in the UK and one of the boutique producers that Matt himself likes to champion, Chase Distillery is well known to cocktail aficionados and produces a cracking line up of spirits originating from their own home grown potatoes.

Utilising the Chocolate Orange Espresso Martini recipe from their cocktail archives, we've twisted it up by adding an Aussie element in the form of Mr Black coffee liqueur, and some home grown cold brew coffee.

Ingredients

  • 50ml Chase Marmalade Vodka

  • 20ml Mr Black coffee liqueur

  • 30ml cold brew coffee (or any fresh espresso coffee)

  • 10ml sugar syrup

Shake all over ice in a shaker then strain into chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a orange twist. (action figurine obligatory!)
