In this combination, the dry tartness from the kaffir lime and lemongrass extract of the Fentimans Premium Indian tonic are a perfect partner for the Jack Daniels Rye Whiskey, which is new to the Australian market. Using 70% rye in its mash bill, but otherwise going through the same charcoal filtration as its core range, the nose that hits you when you smell it is full of apples. Retaining a distinct spicy note from the grain and a certain sharpness that reminded us of kaffir lime leaf, this cocktail reminds us of a dry sparkling and drinks like one too!

How to make the Apple Rye cocktail


  • 30 Jack Daniels Rye Whiskey

  • 120ml Fentimans Indian tonic


  • Combine everything in a glass and stir

  • Garnish with an apple fan and kaffir lime leaf.
